R.I.P LUX

The Cramps were the 4th or 5th live show I ever went to. I saw them in 1994 on the Flamejob tour at the Academy (another long gone NYC venue). I still vividly remember Lux climbing to the top of the speaker cabinets (which in my mind was at least 50ft high) with the mic jammed in his mouth. It has forever shaped in my mind how one is supposed to behave on stage, and perhaps every band I have seen since (or been in) has been judged against Lux
In honor of Lux’s passing, I put together a mix of my favorite Cramp’s songs mixed with some of The Cramp’s favorite songs. (Somehow Surfin’ Bird didn’t make it in the mix….. this is inexplicable and I’m sorry in advance)
So here it is the Lux Interior memorial mix, may the zombie’s dance, and the bones rock on…

Cyberspace is the place pt.1

Every Friday I am going to post a new CD length (72-80 min) mix exclusively on Benbrunnemer.com. In honor of me getting myself hooked up with “the future” by setting up a web page. This inaugural mix is dedicated to technology and the future. You know, shit like space ships, computers, the internet, or space aliens.
Next Friday in honor of “Black Friday” will be the Recession Special mix.
Some people were having trouble figuring out the player. Click the triangle play icon next to the title of the song at the bottom of each posting to hear the audio clip. If you click on the title, I think it opens it in a new window.
