SH SH SH SHARK ATTACK - THE RECESSION SPECIAL EP
This prophetic EP is finally released after maturing in the vaults for more than a year. Recorded pre-recession in the winter of ‘07 on a four track tape recorder, these songs seem to have predicted the hard times that were to come. This is Sh-Sh-Sh Shark Attack!!! at their most rockin’, but also at their most soulful. Moving away from the nautically themed songs of their first self-titled release, The Recession Special touches upon a wide range of subjects. From the apocalyptic dance jam epic, “The Distance”, to the political powerhouse “Captain America”, to the working man’s lament “Door to Door Blues”, this post-humus release by perhaps the greatest short lived rock n’ roll band NYC has never heard about, is sure to please.
